Experience before you go . . .

When in Montana "the last best place", go to the Patriotic American Brewery (PAB) where patriotism is celebrated and you can feel safe as you enjoy your cold craft beer because you know most everyone in there is packing!

OK this is how it went down, when you have dear friends that have a beautiful log cabin on a lake just a stones throw outside of Kalispell in Northern Montana and you get an invite you drop everything and fly up as fast as you can. Huntin, fishin and loving every day!! That's right, even the approach when you're coming in for a landing at Glacier Park International Airport the scenery is stunning... trees, lakes, streams! Did I say trees, lakes, streams, but I forgot to mention breweries!! Even though you really can't see them on the approach, you know they're there, maybe hidden, maybe not but they're there!!!

Our 5 day visit consisted of basking in the wilderness, eating fabulous food, drinking copious amounts of cocktails and visiting three local breweries for our craft beer fix!!

Right from the airport our first stop was PAB...why wait to get the party started!!! As mentioned Patriotic American Brewery was steeped in American Red White and Blue! Everywhere you looked it was a tribute to America and the Armed Services! We snapped the patented Front Sign Selfie in front of the R,W & B fabulous sign and once in you work your way through tables and chairs and right up to the bar where looky here, four empty bar stools...got to love it!!! We order up a delectable, diverse line up of craft beer...Murica - Hazy Pale Ale (5.3%, 34 IBU), The Patriot - American Wheat (5.0%, 18 IBU), Tradition - Pre-Prohibition Porter (6.3%, 23 IBU) and Honor - Kentucky Common (5.7%, 21 IBU)!! Everyone enjoyed their beers so much that we had a second and I'm thinking even a third round so beers were consumed and smiles were present.

So I did the walkabout, I talked to one Navy veteran, who had a 100 pound German Shepherd on the floor looking at me, no tail being wagged, and he said you might want to stay clear which I did…..nice guy, big dog!! I also mosey around the corner where there was a memorial set up with pictures of fallen soldiers and firefighters, a sad reminder that freedom isn't free!!! US

Good times were had at PAB! The start of a great visit in Montana...the last best place!!!

Until next time and remember......

Go get'cha one!!!!!!!
