Experience before you go . . . Well after a two day drive from Tucson with a stop in Sin City Las Vegas at 120 degrees and a drive by of Death Valley we made it to Truckee, California. A work friend of my wife has a cute little cabin in Truckee and she said here's the lock box code and make yourself at home, so we did!! Truckee is right over the Nevada border and is a 25 minute drive north of Lake Tahoe. Gas is $6.29/gal, burgers are $26, if you want to buy a stylish men's suede shirt it will cost you $499. But it's beautiful here so you grin and bear it, pass on the shirt, share the burger and cuss when you're filling your tank!!! Like always when my wife Kat and I are in a new town we search out a brewery or two. I hit my around me app and up pops Good Wolf, good reviews, I like the name so we jump in the car and "Siri, directions to Good Wolf Brewing" and away we go! Who would thunk that a 66 year old man, above average intelligence, relatively good health would be such an IT wizard...amazing!!! A right turn, then another right turn and it's supposed to be right here, but where? 10990, there's "A" but I can’t "B"! Let's just park and try to find it. What's this, door is open, I see a faint open sign behind a tinted window. We walk in and bada bing bada boom we're here! There's no front sign to do the patented front sign selfie so we opt for a wooden sign propped up on a shelf for the patented inside wood sign selfie...got it, now lets get a beer! Max behind the stand up bar is taking orders so it looks like you get your beer and migrate to some high tops off to the right or you can get all comfy in a couch and a couple chairs in front of a faux fireplace. Kat heads for the high tops as I focus on the beers. Kat likes a light Pilsner and to the left I see a cooler with cans of Chad Lite. Max says the magic words..."crisp, cold and refreshing"! Pour me one! Well, it's not on tap, but you can buy a 4 pack and I'll pour you one, "great"! And I'll have a Range of Light - IPA (6.5%). Hoppy, very drinkable and smooth, I like it! To the high top I go with refreshments.
