Experience before you go . . .

The facts, nothing but the facts.....ever go a road trip and you get a hankering for something other than McDonalds or Subway and you know it's going take you off the highway and delay your arrival and you know you shouldn't do it but you just gotta? Well that wasn't the case here! We were doing our normal spring trek back to Naperville from Tucson and our first hotel night was in Santa Fe and of course I located a brewery right down the street. Tour, brew sampling and yummy Tex Mex takeout.....boy howdy!!!

The patented front sign selfie and I'm waiting for someone to pass by as I'm clicking the pic and say "Hoppin Brewery Tour, right"!! I know, I might be waiting a long time!! Anyhow selfie done and yes, we head for the door. Once in, I quickly realize this is a restaurant first and brewery second which is fine as long as they're doing them both well. Which I quickly find out that they are. The place is packed, people eating, drinking, laughing and carrying on which would not be happening if the food and beer were subpar. I sauntered up to the bar, hopped on a stool, got comfy, pulled out a HBT card and got ready to tell the story and bing, bang, boom Hoppin Brewery Tour strikes for the 54th time. I ordered a Road Runner IPA (6.9%, 90 IBU) eight different hops with a long dry and bitter finish....pucker up!! I also order a chicken fajita and a enchilada dinner to take back to the hotel.

Beer was good, food was good, when in Santa Fe, New Mexico pop over to Blue Corn and tell them Clyde sent you!! I know pretty corny right, blue corn, corny...get it?
