Experience before you go . . .

During our tour at Catalina Brewing we were told that the Button Brew House was a stone's throw away and a must stop so we threw the stone and ended up at the front door of the Button Brew House. Front sign selfie and in we went. Causeway, then bar running the length of the wall to our right with tables and chairs to our left with production separated with glassed wall straight ahead....nice, efficient and sleek. Three bar stools await our arrival. We sit, we get comfy and up walks Christa with a smile and a what's ya drinking. Out comes the Hoppin Brewery Tour card with a brief intro and Bing, Bang, Boom.....the HBT strikes again, this time right on the Button!

The Jakes start ordering flights and I hold off since I'm all about responsible drinking. The tasting begins and my son with the help of the other Jake scratch out their taste bud experiences (21 year old unabashed craft beer senses unchained).....Chiltepin Red - Sonoran Style Spicy Red Ale (6.2%,16 IBU) the light scent of spicy Chilepin peppers which are synonymous with Sonoran culture, this wonderful red ale that excites the tongue and palette with a plethora of flavor followed by a nice short spice hit, this beer is great for sipping all day or paired with Mexican food. Tor Auf - Berliner Weisse, German Style Sour Ale (3.4%, 3 IBU) this wonderful German Weisse is a great beer for any long hot summer day, with its lemony goodness this beer evokes the spirit of summer in America, would wow even the most experienced beer drinkers. The Button IPA - West Coast Style IPA (7.1%, 76 IBU) with glorious hints of pine, grapefruit and orange, this beer is both easy on the nose and palette alike, the taste brings back memories of playing football (8-9 years old) at halftime when Moms would bring sliced oranges, a good go-to for grilling.

To my left we have John, served in the army and parlayed that service time into a federal health insurance administration job...gotta luv it! We talked all things army.....bittersweet! John's a good guy who likes his craft beer. Carry on John, carry on!

Button Brew House is an craft beer experience you don't want to miss. You can even join the Button Brew Crew, the elusive and exclusive 100, beer lovers that are extended brewery discounts and bennies.....very cool idea.

The boys give me the "We're getting hungry" look! We pack up, pay the bill and head to the door but on my way I notice a couple sitting outward at the bar and they had a sense about them as if they were sitting comfortably in their own family room surrounded by family and friends....it's owners Todd and Erika Button, go figure! A quick hi, how you're doing, nice to meet ya. Keep on brewing you two!!

Until next time and remember.........

Go get'cha one!!
